But if I were to list all of the award shows currently out there, this would be one very long blog entry. Many people say that advertising awards are pointless, because they have become ceremonies to award clever thinking, not great advertising. And yes, there's a difference. Others say that advertising awards are essential, as they help agencies attract new clients. For the creatives, it's a way to legitimize months of hard work on a campaign. What do you think? Publicis to buy Microsoft's Razorfish for $530M
