Don't Forget Why You Do This...Date: Mon, 30. January 2012 08:12:38
I see people shaking their heads, wondering what's happening in a meeting. I hear people complain. I hear weird jargon. I see and hear a lot of animosity. Just remember, something drew you to this profession, it's a great one, and it can always be better.

Where did they come from, when did the attack ads come about, and who were the big players? Find out right here. And to all of you, I wish a very happy and prosperous 2012.A (Very) Brief History of US Political Ads. What's Your Honest Opinion Of Advertising Awards?Date: Thu, 5. May 2011 08:07:57

We all know the big contenders.
The One Show.
The Cannes Lions.
The D&AD.
But if I were to list all of the award shows currently out there, this would be one very long blog entry.
Many people say that advertising awards are pointless, because they have become ceremonies to award clever thinking, not great advertising. And yes, there's a difference.
Others say that advertising awards are essential, as they help agencies attract new clients. For the creatives, it's a way to legitimize months of hard work on a campaign.
What do you think? Are awards just there to polish egos and make money? Or are they important? Check as many boxes as you want below, and then see the results.

It's not a new movie, it's a few years old now, but who cares? The BEST movie on advertising ever made.
